wedding day timeline

This is stressing me out!  I'm trying to figure out when to do the father/daughter, mother/son dances.  Do you typically do them before, or after dinner? thanks!

My caterer just suggested to us after dinner for an evening wedding. You don't want guests to get antsy sitting through a ton of dances before dinner. Make pre-dinner about you & the hubby, then everyone else comes after dinner. Just what she suggested to us, I PERSONALLY have no clue lol

We did father daughter, son/mother dances after dinner.

We did ours after dinner. DH and I did our dance right after we were introduced then we had the blessing and dinner. After dinner we cut the cake, I think, and then did the parent dances. Halfway through my dance with my stepfather (after my dance with Daddy and DH's with MIL) we invited the bridal party up and that kicked off the party
