Cake Vendors?

Hi ladies. I was wondering if you have any suggestions on cake vendors.

Thanks,

I did four cake tastings- Michael Anthony, It's Tasty Too, Cut the Cake, and Eve's Cakes.

We decide to go to Cut the Cake- the best taste for the prettiest cake at the best value.

However, FI and my brother REALLY loved Michael Anthony's cakes- they were delicious. Just a little too expensive for us so we didn't use him- I'm not sure what your budget is.

It's Tasty Too is probably one of the most popular I've seen on this site. Definitely the cheapest pricing if you want a simple cake and lots of different flavors of cake and filling to choose from. I just thought Cut the Cake was a little better quality only like $30 more.

And Eve's Cakes was great if you need a display cake (fake care where you just put the sheet cake in the back and no one even knows it's not real). Her cakes were very good as well but a little too sugary for me which was too bad because we loved her personality and got along great with her.

I love Eve's cakes!!!! She is awesome and FI, my mom, and I all LOVED the cake! She has a great price too! We aren't doing a display cake, just a regular cake and grooms cake.

I used Michael Anthony for my wedding cake and groom's cake.  Everyone loved both of them. They tasted amazing and looked even better.  DH doesn't even like cake, but he did like Michael Anthony's cakes.

We're going with Cut the Cake.  Preferred the taste and style choices over It's Tasty Too.  We found their flavors too strong and not much help on creative ideas.

Thanks Everyone. Michael Anthony is so sweet. He has one opening. It's tasty too is really cheap. They get good reviews so I hope the tasting goes well. I like the idea of getting to use different flavors for free. Everyone is quoting about $300-400 but cut the cake said 566? Not sure maybe I need to check back. My wedding is on Monday but Bake me a cake said that I will have to pick it up on Saturday. Gross! Then the manager told me she would deliver it. Hope it won't be from Saturday. Did any of you have your cake done a few days before the wedding? I am kind of worried about that.

cakes are made at least the day before (or even baked one day and decorated the next and delivered the next). A cake made on saturday should be fine for monday. Just like when you bake brownies, cookies, or cake at home- they last in a cake stand for a good while and still taste great!
