Wedding Dress Dilemma

Hello!

I've been on the board for a while but just recently started preparing for my wedding. Well recently I have been dress shopping with my mom. I tried on a couple of dresses and went to a couple of different dress shops and picked a dress. I got a really good deal on the dress and thought it was the one. I loved the dress when I tried it on and thought I was done. I went home and started second guessing myself. Now I am in a dilemma. I am on a budget and don't know what to do. I don't know if I should try on the dress again and see its all in my head or I need to try and get a different dress. If I do decide to get another dress, I want to sell this one to get my money back or at least the majority of it. Does anyone know any sites or stores that buy wedding dresses?

Thanks again

I think almost all of us have been through that. There are SO many beautiful dresses, so when you find yours you HAVE to stop looking! lol If you really don't think you like it you can try the classifieds board on here, ebay, craigslist, or oncewed.com Good luck! I don't know of any stores persay that will directly buy wedding dresses.

I had second thoughts (still do) but at the end of the day I know there are so many gorgeous dresses out there, and I know if I tried anymore on I would fall in love with another. But at the end of the day I do love the dress I have, it is gorgeous and me and I know in 30 years I won't look back and say I should have bought a different dress. If you think you might, well then I'd say go look. But after trying my dress on again when I had doubts I felt more comfortable with my decision.

    Good luck!

I can DEFINITELY relate...and struggled with it for the last 6 months.  This week, I finally made the decision to stay with "my" dress.  As everyone above mentioned there are SO many beautiful dresses out there.  You will see more and more as you plan for your wedding, but of course, at some point you will need to make a decision.  If you feel the need to go look at more dresses, I say go for it.  I did!  I tried on more dresses (about 20 more at 3 different places).  I actually really ended up liking a few of them A LOT, but when strongly considering buying another one, I just couldn't commit.  This all then made me realize that the one I was able to commit to was the one I already had! haha  My point is that sometimes you need to go through that whole process to figure it out.  I say go for it!! But be careful because you can definitely drive yourself mad doing it!! (I would know;) haha  At the end of the day, you will look beautiful no matter what you wear and even more importantly you will be marrying the love of your life!  When thinking of it that way, it takes a little pressure of off "the dress"! hehe  Good luck to you!!! Have fun!!:)

If you thought it was the one to begin with then it probably still is.  LIke the ladies said you will always continue to see many dresses you like and probably will also look beautiful on you.  However, I would try on your dress again and see if you still feel that "bridal" feeling you got the first time.  I don't think it is worth trying to stress yourself out to find a new dress. Plus you also have to consider how much time you have before your wedding if you have to order a new one.

However, if you decide, you really don't like your dress and you must have gone mental in those moments of purchasing it, then I would try sites like onewed.

it happened to me too! just try to stop second-guessing yourself and focus on what made you fall in love with your dress to begin with! good luck!
