Ceremony and Reception venues

My fiancé and I are totally stuck between having our ceremony at Leu Gardens and reception at the Winter Park Farmers Market or having the whole shebang at the Lake Mary Events Center. If anyone has had their reception at the farmers market I would greatly appreciate pros and cons you ran into. Is it really difficult to spruce up and require a lot of decorations? Likewise with Lake Mary. Any information/advice is greatly appreciated!
I hate that places get booked so early Yell.. uhg what to do what to do.

Thanks in advance for your replies :)

Welcome to the board!  I am getting married at the Lake Mary Events Center next month.  It is a beautiful venue and I don't think it will need much in the way of sprucing up.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Good luck with the planning!

I haven't used the venues but from the pictures and reviews I've seen, I would absolutely choose the Lake Mary Events Center.  It gets booked up really fast and people seem to always be happy with it.  Plus you wouldn't have to change locations.

Im getting married next month at Leu Gardens. Doing both the ceremony and reception there. I wanted to keep it easy for my guests.

I've been to weddings at all of those venues! They are all really beautiful, so none of your choices will be disappointing :)

Leu Gardens and WPFM are really central to the city, and quite close to each other so I don't think it's an inconvenience to have your guests drive from one to the other. I also love that WPFM is a really unique and historical space - my girlfriend who had her reception there had her cocktail hour in the lot infront and on the landing leading into the space. And the landing served as the bar area for the evening, which was nice since it gave another area for people to congregate. I've seen the inside of the market strung with "market lights" and florals on the table and it was quite pretty! Since it's in downtown WP, it's also great if people want to head to a wine bar to continue the party!

LMEC is alittle further out from being central, but not an inconvenience especially if you have your ceremony and reception there. It's more traditional in the wedding sense, but the grounds and the venue are really pretty - great for photos! The rotunda and patio are must uses! I really like how the space has windows facing outside towards the pretty grounds and lake. Makes for a great focal point.

i would personally choose the LMEC! it's gorgeous, gets great reviews, and you'd get to have everything at the same place.
