Two Photographers?

I haven't been on here lately so hi everyone! Hope everyone is well!

I just had a question: would it be weird to have two photographers at my wedding? I have a good friend of mine who did our engagement pictures (which turned out awesome) so I'd like her to do my wedding pictures. However, since every photographer is different I think it'd be fun to have different styles of pictures. Of course I'll let the photographers know there will be two of them at the wedding but I was just curious to see if this was normal?

Also, on a side note...I noticed a couple days that there's a tiny chip on my engagement ring's band where my larger middle diamond hovers just above (my ring is white gold with three larger diamonds on top and a total of 8 channel diamonds). My darling fiance picked out a gorgeous ring for me; however, it is not insured (I'm thinking of doing this soon). There are no diamonds resting on the chip and it's really hidden so the only way to see it is to look really hard at it. I have no idea how it chipped like it did. Is this fixable? It's driving me nuts.

TIA :)

I don't think it would be weird to have two photogs. Just make sure they both know there will be someone else there shooting.

Make sure that both photographers know about the other and, more importantly, that they're okay with having the other there. I've heard of photographers expecting to be the exclusive photographer at an event and even going so far as to have it in their contract. But I think having multiple photographers (from the same studio or not) is a good thing. Different perspectives, plus one person can't be in two places at one time so it's nice to have one photographer focusing on you and your FI and another focusing on your guests. That way you get to see all the moments that you missed when you were with other people :)

Your ring may be under some sort of warranty from the jeweler. I'd go see about it b/c the stone may have another "soft" spot. Diamonds really shouldn't chip.

My photog has it in his contract that he is the only one so double check

Thanks girls! I'll double check with the photogs before I sign with them. I already spoke to one and she said that would be fine.

Also, it's not my diamond that's chipped...it's the white gold band that chipped. I'm bringing it in to a jewler on friday to see if they can smooth it out. I just hope the whole band doesn't need to be re-done.

    Thanks for the advice :)
