What do you do when...

You wake up 30+ minutes late?

Just for sheets and giggles, because I'm working hard and need the distraction!

I would get ready as I usually would... just do it a little bit faster lol.  I'd choose beauty over punctuality any day haha.

I'd call my office, tell them I overslept and get ready slightly faster than normal.

I've worked for the same company since 2001.  I've overslept MAYBE 5 times, and it was usually during college and if I had an exam, was sick, etc.  Always a legit reason.

Shoot out of bed faster than I would normally think myself capable, dash to the bathroom, grab clothes, brush teeth and hair simultaneously and run out the door. Call boss on the way because half an hour late waking up is when I'm supposed to be clocking in =X (I know to the minute how long I need to get ready and get to work and thirty minutes would ruin it!)

Oh, and with this short haircut, the only fast way to do my hair is throw a baseball cap over it.  I HAVE to wash it in the morning, granted, it takes 5 minutes to blow dry the whole mess and another 2 minutes to straighten the front pieces, but yeah, there is no mad-dashing.

    Call in sick...

Just kidding.  Thankfully my boss is laid back and travels a lot.  I would just call my coworker and let her know that I was running late.  Of course I would be freaking out at home and rushing around to get ready!  I hate waking up late, I feel like my whole day is messed up from the get go.

Ahh, the joys of being my own boss and making my own hours. =)
If I do have to be some where and over sleep, yes the first word out of my mouth is FOOK, then I make a mad dash to get ready and then I drive like a crazy lady to make up for lost time. No wonder I get speeding tickets! LOL. I do call who ever I am meeting to let them know I am running late though. I hate when people don't let you know. Arg.

Well, I get ready like a mad woman too.  If it comes down to being on time or showering and being late,  I will for sure be late!  The whole day is ruined without the shower.

I would just crawl back in to bed! LOL.

But seriously, I would go ahead and dash to the bathroom, take a quicker shower, brush teeth, fix hair, find clothes, run out the door and call on my way to let them know i will be late. Since i work in the school system, usually the 1st 30 minutes is when all the kids are getting to school, so it wouldn't be SUCH a big deal.

This happened to me today! :) Luckily, my office is in a building that is in no way connected to my boss' office, so no one really knows anyways. Plus the hours are sooo flexible at my job that people will think that it was intentional personal time. However, if it's a staff meeting day, I panic!
