Grapevine Pommanders?

Hi! =D

Ok, heres the story...
I was planning on making tissue paper pomanders like this...

but it became a pain in my rear, to put it nicely...and I've been too impatient lately. I had 3 of 10 complete and didn't like the look of them after all.

So I decided to make grapevine balls instead. (Making them, instead of buying them...to save $$$. The 6" ones I want are like, $5 and I need 10...so, whatever I'll make them!) Anyone ever made these before? Tips would be helpful! They will be hanging from my Shep Hooks and tied with a ribbon...lining the aisle.
