Outdoor venues

We have been engaged for a couple of months now but with the holidays...it has been so busy. I have a meeting with paradise cove next weekend but I don't think that they are available for the date that I want, September 22. So I am trying to find more options. I really want something outside that is on the water, or that there is water somewhere close. We are going to be paying for most everything ourselves so weare kind of on a budget. Any suggestions of other venues? Also, does it save more to pick your own vendors or choose from a package?

Re: Outdoor venues

  • You can check out: (all names are clickable to their sites)

    Harmony
    310 Lakeside
The Duncan House in Mt Dora

There are tons of options and it's hard to say which will save you the most money.

    Good Luck!

  • maybe something on cocoa beach would be nice.  or one of the lakes nearby.  As far as vendors, it really depends on the type of research you're willing to do.  My original venue had preferred vendors and they were insanely expensive, I found much cheaper ones on my own.  What type of vendors are you looking for?  Also, make sure you go to lots of bridal shows, vendors offer steep discounts at them

You might need to re-read the OP. She was hoping for Paradise Cove but doesn't think it's available.

  • I had someone suggest to me a few days ago the Lake Mary Event Center and went to check it out this weekend and it has a beautiful outdoor ceremony area by a huge lake. We loved it and it's only $2400 (I believe) including tables and chairs and then you pick a caterer from a list of 7, which is great because I'd looked at places (like Cypress Grove, also beautiful and by a lake) but they only allow you to use their one preferred caterer and that jacks the price up so much. Another good thing about Lake Mary Event Center is 4 Rivers is on their caterer list, so if you're into southern cooking, AMAZING!

We ended up chosing Courtyard at Lake Lucerne though because it fit our style and has everything we're looking for. Good Luck!

  • i'm using cypress grove estate house.  its gorgeoussssssssssssss!!  it fit my style, old estate house, twinkle lights and dancing under the stars on a lake.  lake mary events center is really nice too, but I grew up in the area and wanted something different.
