DOC Communication Issues

So...I really liked my DOC when I originally met with her and booked her, but since then I have been having some issues with her following up/replying to my emails.

 It is not a huge deal at this point because I'm still three months out and there's nothing I desperately need her to do. I am just trying to get our "walk through" of the venue scheduled, which is included in my package (as well as unlimited phone and email consultation).

It has happened a couple times and I am currently on two weeks of waiting for a response, with one follow up email in the middle! Am I right to be annoyed with the lack of communcation, or am I really only paying for her for the day? I don't want to be like, the stalker bride, especially when she is just a day of coordinator, but I feel like two weeks is a long time to wait for a response? :-/

    I agree, you have a right to be upset. Did she give you a phone number? I have found some vendors are much easier to contact by phone. I'd give that a try and see if you get a better response. Good luck! Sorry about the issues. :(

    Yeah, I do have a phone number. I was planning on giving her a call if I didn't hear back from my last follow up (a week ago) so maybe now's the time. I just feel like I shouldn't have to pester someone that I'm paying!

    Yeah I would give her a call.  I think if unlimited phone calls and emails are part of your DOC package then she certainly should be following up.

    Yes - I read quite a few positive reviews. She also came highly recommended by my DJ, who has a positive reputation. (I actually chose him off of reviews from this board).

    Ok update! I just talked to her. She said she's been having trouble with her emails forwarding to her new address (I guess I've been using an older one - I don't know). She said a past bride called her yesterday asking why she wasn't contacting a referral. It was a slightly awkward conversation because I think I sounded annoyed, but we got something on the calendar this week.  I guess I was worried for nothing. :)

    it might be just a technical error, but i think meghan asked you who it was because there is a popular DOC here who is notorious for being tardy with her responses. if her initials are AH then it isn't just you. some people dropped her because of it, some people stuck it out. i haven't heard any day-of-wedding complaints about her, though!
