Hi ladies, anyone have any ideas on nice cost efficient venues in the central fl area?

    Shades of Green if you can get into it!  It's a military Morale, Welfare, and Recreation resort (one of two in the United States - the other one is in Hawaii, the rest are overseas), and it's located right across the street from the Polynesian Hotel at Walt Disney World.  It's a ful-service resort with ballrooms, an outdoor gazebo, and it's on the Palm and Magnolia PGA golf courses.  To book there, you or someone who's coming needs to qualify and "sponsor" you.  To qualify, you need to be active duty military, retired military, or have a certain percentage of disability.  I believe some contractors qualify too - it's all on their website.  I know not everybody qualifies, but in my case I never woud have thought about it until someone told me that you and your fiance don't necessarily have to be the ones to qualify. For us, my future FIL is retired military, so we qualified.  It's not part of Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings (but it doesn't have their prices either), but it does qualify as a Disney resort and you get all the rest of the Disney perks for weddings and guests.  Dinner buffets start at $25 a person, and their bar prices are ridiculously reasonable.  The hotel is really nice, too!  So, I wanted to toss that out there as a hidden gem that people might not realize is there - or that they might be able to use it!

    Thank you ladies for the ideas, im pretty flexible on where in central fl so anywhere in that area is ok with me. again thank you i will look into these places

    I was actually checking out The Lakeside Inn's website earlier today, and their prices seem very affodable. I've never been there, but am also looking for a venue, and it looks like something worth checking out.
