Final Venue Choice.. PLEASE HELP!

Hi All!!

Ok, so, tonight my fiance and I are making our final venue choice.  We are down to Lake Mary Events Center and Celebration Golf Club.  It seems as though going through the two, over and over again we prefer one venue:  Celebration.  There is only 1 category that LMEC wins.. and that's rain location.  At Celebration the rain location is just a narrow breezeway.

We are planning on getting married on November 5, 2011.  We have done our homework and we know that November is the "lowest" rainfall month of the year, but I am still scared.  Sam and I keep going in circles and just can't seem to make a decision.  I'm so worried that if we pick Celebration and it rains it will ruin the look of the ceremony and we will wish we had chosen LMEC.  But then if it doesn't rain, I worry we'll say we should have gone with Celebration..

I need some advice, because between my fiance, me, and my parents we just can't pick a way to go.  We are too involved I guess!  Haha.

Thanks for any help!!!  =)

My original wedding date was Nov 6th because of the little rain.  I did ALOT of research on rainfall during this time.  I would go with Celebration if I were you.  I felt the same way about LMEC cause of the indoor space.  In the end I went with the place I loved the most.  I realized I cant control the rain but either way rain or shine you are marrying the one you love.

Not to give you more options but we are getting married at Harmony, FL.  Its kind of like celebrations but quite secluded.  I dont know what your taste is but it is beautiful out there.  We are getting married on 10-10-10 which is a Sunday and are getting over 1000 in discounts.  I thought we could never afford a place like that but the people are genuine and will put everything out for you.  My fiance is a chef and we were able to create our own menu and the food we tated was amazing.  For everything fully plated with ceremony it is about 5600 for 60 people.  Maybe I'm just biased but its a lovely place and there are not "rules" to follow.

My vote isfor LMEC but then again I am pretty bias.  That is where I am getting married :)

I do agree with pp though.  You need to choose the place that you love!

Haha, thanks for the Harmony suggestion.  Harmony was in our top 4 that we just visited this weekend.  Until this weekend it was my front runner by far, but unfortunately for our size wedding it just isn't going to be doable for us.  Michelle is wonderful and very willing to accommodate, however, celebration was able to offer us everything we wanted without having to make any sacrafices and was able to beat Harmony by over $2500.  Michelle was so nice about preparing quote after quote for us, but unfortunately in order to get the price down we were just going to have to cut so much of what was important to us.  I think its wonderful that you are going with Harmony.. it is SO beautiful.  I really wanted to get married under the tree at Cat Lake and their rain location is absolutely stunning.  Far more beautiful than even LMEC!

I'm still feeling so torn, because I do love Celebration, but I worry that rain will just ruin that location.  Its true that I can't control the rain, but I live in FL, I feel like I have to stress about it!!  It is so important to my fiance to get married outside and I feel that LMEC offers such a close alternative.  He has so few demands (and by demands, I mean requests, but demands sounded prettier) I feel so bad deliberately going against something that could mess that up for him.  Everything he does is always for me, I feel like it would be selfish of me to not do this for him.  Don't get me wrong, he loves Celebration, its just that stinkin rain location that kills us.  I don't know.  I think we will end up with Celebration, but I just know I'll spend the next 18 months worrying about rain!!

Ok, I'm talking in circles.  Haha, thanks for the help, ladies!!!

And I'll let you all know tomorrow what we pick.. LMEC opens up the books for our date tomorrow, so the decision will definitely be made by then!!  Keep that advice coming, it never hurts to get opinions.  =)

I say go with the one you love. To choose a place just because of the nicer rain location isn't really a great reason. I think you would kick yourself in the butt when your day is all sunny! Go with your gut instinct, and dont let the thought of rain ruin it for you!

Im getting married outside at a gold course in St. Cloud in the middle of July!

    HTH!

I agree with the ladies. Although I love LMEC, if you really want the golf course, I think you can pretty safely pick it without worrying too much about rain.

LOL if you look at my picture it is from Cat Lake.  We got everything with the gold menu and all ONLY because you get a discount on Sundays.  IF not it would have been so much more. MY FI is a Chef and Michelle let us tour the kitchen!  We love the place and couldnt be more happier.  We are getting married on Buck Lake on the dock. Our friends are getting married there in 12 days on Cat Lake.  I have live in FL for over 12 years and its April showers.  OCT/Nov are usually dry and the dryest of the year.  I say go with the one you love and if it rains then it rains.  But chances are its not going to rain.  Good luck!
