Secrets Resorts

Hello.
I had asked about Secrets Maroma vs Royal Beach and now I'm seeing the ones on Jamaica and the Secrets Capri. How does one choose? They all look amazing and each location has pros and cons..any suggestions?

Re: Secrets Resorts

  • Tripadvisor? Flight logistics? - what's better travel time based on how long you have to spend there?
  • I stayed at Secrets Capri last April with FI and had a wonderful time. It is beautiful and the workers are so kind and go out of your way to make sure everything is how you want. I did research on all the Secrets and they all seem to be the same. Same restaurants, same activities, same nightlife. So to decide which one would be best for you is really up to which country you would rather visit. Best wishes, GL!

  • Thanks for those suggestions..definitely will look into tripadvisor and flight times. I feel it shouldn't be a hard decision and I'm not sure why I think it is.

Dont' worry, it was hard for us too!  We had finally decided on a resort in St. Lucia and then went to look at flight times and realized we'd have an overnight layover in Miami, so that put a wrench in things and we ended up going to Secrets Maroma, which was a 2.5 hr direct flight
  • I stayed at Secrets Wild Orchid in November.  I'm sure all Secrets resorts are as amazing as this one.  Pros for this resort is that it's only about 15 minutes from the airport, so you don't waste arrival and departure days travelling.  If you are interested in excursions, there are so many options in Jamiaca.  We did Dunns River Falls and a full day excursion that went on the Black River Safari where you see crocodiles, to YS falls and the Appleton Rum tour.  If you want to walk a mile on the beach, this isn't the place for you since its a totally private beach and is on a peninsula, but its nice none the less.  The swimming areas are kind of in coves so its quiet and refreshing without having huge waves.
Whatever you choose I'm sure they are all fantastic! I think that we are loyal Secrets travellers now!
