I'm Alexia - I used to post A LOT before the giant Knot switch.  It stopped sucking so I'm posting again.

    Aw, thanks! I try to pop back in when I can, but the board isn't as active as it used to be.  I also feel like I don't know anyone anymore!

    I have a 08 Jetta and Robert has an 09 CC.

    I'm going for a Tiguan or Toureg next.  If I wish the lottery, I'm upgrading to an Audi immediately.  I love me some German engineering.

    That is what I thought.  I am with ya girl!  I had two Jettas previously and just got the Tiguan last week.  I love it!!

    I got married 5/3/2008... it will be 2 years in less than a week... WHOA !

    I can't seem to venture away from the damn knot... probably because I know everyone over here lol.  The only posting I do on the Nest is on my May 2008 boards, fashion and beauty, pets, coupon codes, travel, and recently the trash the treasure board because I am hosting a "platinum baby shower" for a friend at the end of May :-)

    Do you LOVE love it? It's precious.  I just can't justify a trade in right now.  Our cars are so new.  I am obsessed with the Toureg and they're coming out with a new one at the end of the year.  I like new cars too much so I don't know how much we'll want to spend when it's time to do it... we'll see.

    Robert LOVES the CC.  It's very luxurious looking/feeling.  It's a manual so it's FUN to drive.  My first Jetta was a 5-speed so I kinda miss it a bit.  This is his second VW too, he used to have an old Golf.

    I absolutely love it!  I have been obessed with the Toureg for a while as well.  I just didn't think I could afford it right now.  Maybe in the future.  I think the CC is a good looking car so I was curious what he thought about it.

    P.S.  I didn't mean to hijack the thread or anything.  I just thought it would be fun to talk to another VW fan :)

    Just got married April 2!

    When I started posting on this board I thought to myself "I'm not going to stick around here after I get married, I'm just gonna get the info I need and go" and then I got all attached to you girls! :D So I stick around to offer what little advice I have, but mostly because I'm interested in everyone else's lives and weddings and want to know how you're all doing. AND because Jess and Erica keep me laughing all the 'fooking' time!

    Hah. I'm Teresa, and I got married on March 12. The Nest is super duper quiet... and I am sticking around because I dig heraing about everyone's weddings/engageements/ lives.

    And it's good to know who I need to talk to, for some needed face punching.

    Alyssa #2 - July 4th is my favorite day of the year... I love fireworks and my family has an annual vacation.  Another knottie is 7/4, I think her sn is sunflower!

    Alyssa #1 - Congrats!  Let me ask the expected: "How's married life?"

    Oh, and I don't drive a VW either, although I think Jettas are SUPER cute and if I had to get a sedan tomorrow that would probably be my pick. For now I will drive my six year old Acura RSX :)

    I'm Meghan and I am getting married March 26, 2011 (it sounds so far away still) at Mary Mag like Alexia & Teresa!

    No VW for me either, I drive a Ford Escape (ironically Ford is my High School Mascot- dont ask)

    I'm Cheryl.  Got married November 7 and I'm a Pontiac girl myself (my little 02 sunfire is pushing 115K miles but gets amazing gas mileage!)  I'm sad GM decided to discontinue the Pontiac brand..  *tears*  DH drives a Jeep Liberty.  I'm actually hoping to not need a car when I get a job after my PhD.  After 5 years of commuting 75 miles a day (about 2.5 hrs spent in my car daily), I would LOVE to live walking distance or be able to use public transportation.

    As they already answered, yes- it's General Motors. My Grandfather retired from one of their plants in OH and I have other family that has worked for them as well.

    UMCollege- Holy moly 2.5hrs a day??? I def would not want to do that!!

    yeah its no fun...  We live west of Ft Lauderdale (DH works in downtown Ft. Lauderdale) but I work at UMiami's marine science campus which is south of downtown Miami.  Mornings take about an hour on a good day, and evenings are closer to 1.5 hrs on a good day.  With no traffic its about 45 min each way.
