Florida-Central Florida

Hello everyone, I'm new! :-)

Hi ladies!

I've been lurking around a few of the boards to get ideas for a few weeks now, and have finally decided to post somewhere! My fiance and I are getting married in Orlando at Paradise Cove on 3/18/12. We aren't into St. Pattie's day, but all the Sat we wanted were booked so we went with the next available Sunday. Lol.

We have already booked our ceremony/reception location, our DJ (his uncle), the minister (another uncle), and ceremony musician (my brother). I met with a photographer last night and I'm pretty sure I'm going to book her! She's young, but I love her work and she's got real passion and excitement. We are meeting with a caterer next week and I'm going this weekend to try on dresses. I feel like getting some of the big things out of the way will make this less stressful and less expensive down the road! My fiance is finishing up his master's degree this spring, and we're moving in a few months, so I want to get as much done as possible right now!

Also, we've picked our bridal party (7 on each side!! yikes!) which includes two of my sisters, as well as my 6 year old daughter. Should be a blast! Anyway, sorry to ramble. I included a link to a dress I love, so feel free to let me know what you think!

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hey- welcome!  It sounds like you have a lot done so far and you still have a year!!  My photographer is Sivan Photography and she has great prices and a fun personality!  The dress is beautiful.  Make sure you try on different dresses and don't want to settle right away on the first one.  I did and kinda wish I waited.  Have fun planning and try not to go crazy.  The more you do now will help your sanity in the future :)  Welcome to the board :)

I love Paradise Cove - it is such a great place for a reception and will be so pretty in March! Have fun trying on dresses - it really is so so much fun. I agree with Ruby - try on different dresses and styles and dont rush yourself :) Have fun planning - I'm getting married in April and I'm already a bit sad the planning will be ending!

    Congrats and welcome!

    Welcome

Wow you have a lot done more than myself and I am getting married this year haha!  Though I moved before my wedding too so that slowed  down things.

That sounds like a faboulous affiar and so nice to have so much family involved in the day.
I suggest going to something Blue Bridal on Dr. Phillips. I went to a lot of stores in the Orlando area when finding my dress and that was the best when it came to service, perosnality, comfort, and selection in my opinion.  If she is still there ask for Hannah (she is leaving sometime this year for an internship in Colorado).  Yes I bought my dress there too haha!

If your looking for a florist contact The Flower Lady, her prices are great and she is really wonderful to work with.  She is a true artist. Very accomodating.

    Happy Planning!!
