so excited!

so my mom was pushing of me to come down the weekend before my birthday to celebrate with my parents and she suggested wedding dress shopping. At first I wasn't at all thriled because I just took off work this month to go down during father's day weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday, father's day and be in a wedding of one my closest friends.

Howevere, she kept pushing so I looked up flights and found one for 183.00! I immediately got it on my work calender and now I am taking off July 16-19. So now I am super excited to be able to spend some time with friends I haven't seen in a few months and wedding dress shopping!

I know I have lots of time, but this is the first time I am getting to try on a dress and I know I am not one of those try on one and it is it, I will try on lots probably.  Just thought I'd share my wedding excitment!

will need some good refferals for places to check out dresses. Looking for price range with alterations of max 2,000 probably.

I always pass that place & wondered if it was any good. I also had a good experience with Savannah Grace Bridal (in the same area) my mom got her dress there for $35!!!! It was a sample & just stunning. Also if you're looking for a more formal dress Butterflies Bridal in Oviedo is selling out all of their inventory for 50% off!!! & their original prices are only around $1000 each. The lady said the new "in" thing are less formal dresses & they want to totally restock with less formal styles so they're trying to get everything out. Good luck!! :)

I bought mine at Butterflies Bridal in Ovideo. They are super careful with all of their samples, so they are all in wonderful condition.

Linda and Sue are wonderful and attentive.

I didn't buy my dress in Orlando but I LOVE Maggie Sotteros and the two places to get them here are Lily's on 50 near Bumby and Minerva's down Orange Ave.
    That's Mrs.skWhitneyAmanda to you!

How much do Maggie Sotteros usually run for?  Thanks for the suggestions if you know of any other good ones. Especially in the Altamonte area or even winter park is good. My family lives in the Altamonte area (longwood).

I have a Maggie Sottero dress! My dress was less than 1500 and the alterations cost less than 200 i think. I also bought the crinoline from them so they added it to my alterations ticket. I think Whitney and I have the same dress actually! I bought mine at Minerva's and received excellent service from them everytime i go in. I would definitely tell you not to go in on a Saturday (although i did...) because its crowded. But i just came back from there today and it was pretty empty!

wow really her dresses are under 2000, well that is very nice to know. Though I am sure she has some that are more expensive but I am so glad there are some in my price point. Which style is yours and whitney's dress?

Is it the Monalissa Royale? Because that is a very beautiful dress, a huge ball gown! I can't believe you got that for $1500!

Ladies do you think that prices are fairly reasonable in Orlando?

that is aweomse becuase the are some other royale ones I like and I figured they would be like uber expensive. I am nervous since I am probably buying my dress myself about price.

I got my dress at Modern Bridal on Colonial between Bumby and 17-92. They had a HUGE selection and they had wonderful prices. LaVoria is the lady that helped me and she is the best!
