Spring/Night Wedding

Hello! My fiance and I are getting hitched on March the 24th of 2012. It is quite a while away but I started thinking about my colors. Originally, I like coral and gold because coral is a fun spring color. However, we changed to a night wedding and now I don't think the bright pinky orange coral is quite appropriate. I was thinking more deep, rich colors and I have been reading up on night wedding colors. Bad news is, I HATE navy. It's so boring and it seems to be the most common night wedding color. Any ideas for a fun color loving bride to be? Thanks!

I don't really see any reason at all why you can't have any color you feel like having for your night wedding.  I would just go with what you originally wanted.

I agree with Theresa! I say pick whatever color your heart desires. It's YOUR day!

By the way, my main color is navy blue and I'm having an early morning, winter wedding :)

Today, anyone can do anything they want for their wedding. There are no rules. If you like coral, do coral. If you want to have a beach wedding in alaska in winter, do it.  It's whatever you want.

However, if you DO want traditional "night" colors, I would look at jewel tones, one of which is navy. I love jewel tones... purple, red, pink, green.... black is always a good choice. Personally, I wouldn't have a black wedding, but black is a vrey formal color.

SIlver or gold are both very formal as well. Night weddings tend to be more formal, but again, it's whatever you want.

Adding black to the other two colors will make them night appropriate. For example your wedding invitations could be corral and gold with black envelopes with gold calligraphy.
