Highland Manor is Apopka Closed their doors

Brides ...just in case you have your wedding booked there you should know they closed their doors without telling anyone yesterday. my wedding isn;t until March but i lost my deposit.  But for others I am sure there are weddings closer then mine was.  Hang in there brides we will all find places to have our weddings and they will be great.

    Oh no!!! I almost got married there but went with Leu Gardens instead.  I am so sorry!

    Are you sure? I remember awhile ago their website was down. . . . that's so strange! I hope you get your deposit back!!

    I am EXTREMELY surprised by this.  Are you 100 percent sure they closed their doors? I live in Apopka right down the road from them and they were just doing a wedding the other night.  In fact, they have events going on MOST nights lol.

    Thought I remembered seeing this on here earlier. I saw a posting on Orlando Sentinel's site

    Wow, I am shocked. For all brides who booked this venue, that news link is a MUST read as it states --

    "......Highland Manor had events, including dozens of weddings, booked through December 2012. Anderson said people with scheduled events should contact the city, which will try to help organize at least some weddings for which large deposits have already been paid. But he also suggested that people who used a credit card to place a deposit dispute the charge; the city, he said, can provide documentation of Highland Manor's closure."

    I don't know if you know but Leu Gardens told me that they were closing too. They were only doing weddings up to 2011 I think.

    You shouldn't have lost your deposit. They didn't keep up the side of their contract. You better get it back.

    This exactly why we paid credit on every deposit we put down.

    This happened with us with Heathrow Country Club, but we got our deposit back.

    From what I understand they ditched town, which is why people aren't getting their deposits back yet.. but I do believe that police are looking for them.  Perfect Wedding Guide sent out an email to their vendors on I believe Tuesday informing them about the situation and asking if any venues had openings and would be willing to step up and help out couples.  If any of you were affected, maybe try contacting PWG and see if anyone has agreed to help? 

    Sorry this happened.  That sucks so bad.  =(

    i heard a rumor that a very reputable company is buying it and will be honoring the existing contracts. hopefully this is true!
