Booked Honeymoon Price DROPPED! :(

Hello ladies!

Back in the spring we booked our honeymoon to the Riviera Maya in Mexico through Expedia.com because with our wedding being around the holidays, we didn't want to miss out...

Well, I just looked and the same resort, for the same 10 days, but a different flight (I like our carrier now because I'll never fly Delta again) is about $800 less.

Okay, I know there might not be much I can do.  I did not buy insurance. But is it worth giving Expedia a call?  Or maybe when we get to the resort, do we ask for an upgrade?

I would call Expedia.  We booked our cruise with a third party, and they said they would refund any money if the price dropped.

I ditto contacting expedia. I thought they had a policy about price drops...

our prices dropped for our DW and we were able to get the rate droppped through our TA .I would for sure inquire it doesnt hurt.

I think Expedia has a price drop guarantee, but I think it has to be the exact same trip...including the same flight.  According to their website, their best price guarantee is only for the first 24 hours.

I'd still call them though.  I mean, you never know unless you try!

Yeah the price guarantee is only for a certain number of days.

And this, to anyone out there who didn't book yet, is one reason to use a travel agent. The price of our trip dropped by $400 and our travel agent was able to adjust it for us.
