I recently attended a wedding at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and thought I'd post a review for anyone considering this location as a wedding or honeymoon destination.
PROS:
1. It's brand new, so nothing is outdated. Our room was huge and very pretty.
2. We went during the slow season so it felt like we had the place to ourselves.
3. loved the infinity pool and pool bars!
4. Drinks were strong and plenty...I never had an empty glass in my hand!
5. I love swimming in the ocean, and the beach was perfectly sandy and calm.
CONS:
1. Food was okay. Some meals were great, some were bad. It was a crap shoot.
2. Locals basically swarm you at the beach. They sit in their kayaks in the shallow area of the ocean so when you get in, they are like sharks. It was very annoying.
3. Rose Hall is the medium priced resort connected to the two other Iberostar resorts there: Grand (most expensive) and Hotel (least expensive) We were not allowed to use any of the amenities at the Grand, which I didn't understand. I've been to Sandals before and I loved being able to use all of the resorts on the island.
