What did you take with you to your first fitting?

I have my first on Wednesday, but I wasn't sure if I had to take my veil and all those goodies with me.

I had my fitting last week. I had to bring my shoes, petticoat, and long line bra.

You can take the veil with you if you'd like to see more of the 'complete' look. You should also take your shoes if you have them so the seamstress can do something with the length if it needs to be taken up.

Edit: I'd also bring your bra that you're planning to wear.

Shoes and undergarmets (strapless bra and spanx) were a must for me.

I also brought my veil just to be sure the color was OK.

I brought my shoes and jewlery. I'm not wearing a bra under my dress (i'm having cups sewn in) and my veil and hair comb was already at the stores so I got to try it on when I got there

My first fitting isn't until next month but I was told to just bring my shoes. My dress has cups built in already. I also plan to bring spanx if I end up buying them and my jewelry so I can see the finished look before the day of the wedding.

It was required at each fitting that I brought my crinoline...I brought my veil to the last one just to see it all put together...bring or wear whatever you are wearing underneath the day of..I.e. strapless bra or longlined bra...sucker iners I.e. spanx...oh the shoes you will be wearing

if you're using a crinoline, be sure to bring that so the hem is at the right spot!
