Texas Honeymoons

Me and my fiance want to go on a small honeymoon in August in Texas. We are only 20 and are college students so we dont have a lot of money. We wanted to go to go to corpus christi but still unsure. Any other good ideas or good ideas to do in corpus? Thankyou!

  • A girl on our local message board (you should come over and visit!) went to Fredericksburg and stayed in a B&B and she RAVES about it. I don't know how familiar you are with the Hill Country, but there are some amazing places and wineries to stay and relax.
If you come to the local board girls may have lots of other suggestions.

When we went to corpus when I was little we would visit the USS Lexington and this little museum that had replicas of Christopher Columbus' ships and history. There is also an Aquarium and the beach is a plus. If you are not set on the beach going to the Texas Hill Country is nice. If you want to go to the lake the hill country has plenty of those. There is also antiqiuing, wineries, and plenty of BBs. If you aren't set on Corpus you could go to Galveston beaches. It's close to Houston that has plenty to do. It is sweltering in August so no matter where you go it's going to be hot.

I second this. Fredericksburg is an amazing place to visit. If you are into history, there is a great WWII musuem and LBJ's ranch is not too far.
