All-Inclusive resorts in the Caribbean? Tips/Advice?

I wrote a post a couple of days ago, and thanks to everyone's helpful advice on here, my fiance and I have narrowed it down to a region/areas where I think we wouldlove to take our honeymoon!

I am a big advicator on reading reviews on Trip Advisor and hearing peoples stories here on the Knot, so...having said that....anyone here ANYTHING -Good, bad, etc...about these places below???

~The Zoetry resort at the Dominican Republic

~The Sivory - DR

~Calabash Cove  - St. Lucia

Those are our favorites so far.  We like the all-inclusive option, the quiet but social atmosphere and just to have the option of social as much as we want or just being alone as much as we want - that is why I liked the above resorts I mentioned.  BUT if there are any other "gems" that I haven't heard about in either of those places OR anywhere else in the Caribbean for that instance that are along the same lines, PLEASE suggest and let us know!  We do not want any sort of families or children at the resort - just couples/adults please! :)

I look forward to hearing everyone's feedback! Thank you in advance for your help!!

  • I am sending you a PM!
  • My FI and I are going to the Royal Playa del Carmen in Mexico in February.  My travel agent has raved about it and a friend of mine was there on a vacation about a year ago.  She said it was fabulous as well.  Also, I looked on trip advisor and almost all the reviews are stellar!  I can't wait!!!!

  • We are staying at Secrets Maroma in Riviera Maya....we were looking into the Jalousie Plantation in St. Lucia...It looks gorgeous and they have an AI option....they also get good reviews. We decided on Secrets for financial reasons and we like the adults only feel.

I know this resort isn't on your list, but we honeymooned at Secrets Maroma Beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico and absolutely loved it.  It is adult-only and all-inclusive.  It hosts one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world.  The food and service were outstanding.  There is a detailed review in my bio.

On another note, I've never stayed at a Zoetry resort, but I've only heard great things about them.

    Hope that helps.
  •  I would recommend Zoetry! It’s such a gorgeous resort that is perfect for a honeymoon.

The resort definitely has the social atmosphere you’re looking for but there are tons of places to slip away if you’re looking for some quiet relaxation with your new hubby!  They have three amazing restaurants plus three lounges to relax in.  They also have gorgeous pools, a spa and tons of activities to try if you’re feeling adventurous!

You won’t be disappointed with Zoetry – I promise! Enjoy your honeymoon!
