ceremony music???

What is everyone walking down the isle to? I am having a hard time coming up with ideas. I do not want the bridal march or canon in d (my sis used).  I am not opposed to non-traditonal songs. I was thinking "Appalachia Waltz". Suggestions welcome! 

p.s. we are going to have a string quartet.

p.p.s. what about songs for grand entrance as H & W?

I don't even want to to begin to think about this. Music is a huge part of my life and I'm a bit of a perfectionist, espcially when it comes to music. I know once I get to this part of the planning I'm going to do nothing but drive myself, and everyone around me, crazy

My freelance cello player friend (who is a guest) is going to play solo cello for our ceremony as her gift to us.  She does weddings all the time.

We're not having a string quartet. I'm not sure yet if we'll even have music, since we'll be outside and it might be weird. 

I might be going for something very untraditional. Haven't discussed it with FI yet. I like the song 'The circle married the line' from Feist and it's got the right vibe, but I wonder about the meaning, would it be about to opposite people getting together? 'Cause thats not us:

Although there are references about life being too rough, it's happy, energetic and full of love. But it might be weird too, since it is kind of a religious song, and we're having a secular wedding.

I so want to use 311's version of Love Song either instrumental or acoustic for when I walk down the isle but if I can't sell FI I think we are going with Canon in D is beautiful.

Interesting choices!  I LOVE Florence and never got a religious vibe from that song.  I wanted to exit to "Dog Days are over"  but I think we will just go with "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer.

Honestly I have no idea and I don't really care too much because FI and I wouldn't be able to hear the music! My dad found a violinist though so we'll just look through some music ideas if we like the lyrics then we'll just pick one.

I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if there are any that we like!

I too am stuck on what songs to pick.. My FI likes Cannon but I dont really like it.. Instumental music is just not me i guess..

I have no idea but I don't think I have much choice.  We are getting married at a Catholic church so my guess is I have to do something appropriate by their standards.

We're having a cello quartet!  I'm so excited!!  I know the WP is walking down to 'All I Ask of You' from the Phantom of the Opera.  Music is next on our list to do!  Hopefully we'll tackle that on Saturday!

I just played All I Ask Of You for my fiance, both one with the wotds and a piano version since we're having a pianist and my fiance said he likes it and it's one of my favorite musicals so I might walk into that. Still have to figure out what the wedding party is walking in to.
