Hi everyone! I am getting married on July 14, 2012 and I am trying to decide between Riviera Maya, Mexico or Dominican Republic. Our budget is around $3000-$4000,and these seem to be the best places to fit in that range.
From what I have heard/observed-it seems like lots of people like Secrets Maroma in Riviera Maya and Excellence resort at P*nta Cana, DR. I would LOVE to hear your feedback on these resorts. I am also looking at Excellence Playa Mujeres.
I am leaning towards Riviera Maya at the moment, because I have heard that the food at Excellence in P*nta Cana is not very good. Food is not that important, but I don't want to be stuck somewhere 8 days with horrible food.
