we are thinking of doing our honeymoon in chicago, any ideas on what to do while we are there....i have never been before

As Spartybride indicated, you will receive much better responses if you can be specific as to your interests, budget, and travel dates.

Obviously, there is a tremendous wealth of things to do, see, and experience in the city itself as well as the outlying neighborhoods.  Theatre? Museums? Sports? Comedy? Boating? Foodies?  The possibilities are literally endless.

Do you want to stay in the city itself?  It can be great, but expensive.  There are neighboring suburbs where hotel costs decrease tremendously, yet are near easy transportation to get back and forth.  Is that of any interest to you?

Finally, if you repost this on the Illinois/Chicago wedding board, and add a few specifics, you will get some first hand and enthusiastic responses.
