August/September Honeymooners: Where are you going?

We're thinking of getting married at the end of August next year, so we'll be on our honeymoon at the end of August and into September.

I just wanted to get some ideas of where everyone is going and what your budget is. We're hoping to stay under $5k.

We're steering clear of hurricane season in the Caribbean and going to Europe.  We're on a little bit larger budget, but we'll be there for about 4 weeks; doing Iceland, Amsterdam, Italy and Ireland.

St. Lucia!  We are staying at the Sandals Grande!

We are doing Jamaica.  It is in the hurricaine belt but we are taking a chance and getting travel insurance.

Getting married September 5th, Honeymoon will be September 11th we are going on a 7day cruise on the Royal Caribbean's newest ship The Oasis going to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. This will be our first cruise so  we are soo very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're getting married towards the end of August and then a couple weeks later we'll be going to Belgium and Paris for our honeymoon. Since we won't be traveling as backpackers, our budget is a bit larger than $5k.

We're also staying at sandals grande in st.lucia mid  august....sandals gives a guarantee if there are hurricane force winds at the time of your honeymoon they will rebook your stay and airfare for free! But (crossing fingers) its one of the better islands in the carribean that doesnt get a lot of hurricanes.

We are getting married the first weekend of September and are going to honeymoon in Canun, Mexico at an AI. We are so excited and the price was really good!! We will be getting trip insurance too.

Aruba!!! No cruise ships  that month and out of hurricane belt- you have to watch what islands are in hurricane belt!!

Curacao - Aruba's neighbor - so it's outside the hurricane belt.  And they have some of the best scuba diving world wide.

Good question! We wanted to do something in country right after. Still have a little time to figure it out. But going to South Africa over Christmas

We're going the 3rd week of August to San Souci resort in Ocho Rio, Jamaica. JIC we got weather insurance (it's not expensive). If it rains once we get $100, anything more than that and we get all our $$ back.
