Cheap All-inclusive Honeymoon Ideas?

Hey there!

My fiance and I are looking to honeymoon for a week beginning August 12th, 2012. Our budget is around 3,500. We want to go to a resort somewhere hot and all-inlusive (Preferrably not a cruise). We're checking around with some travel agents but I just wanted to get some of your opinions and advice on where we should go!

We went to Excellence Playa Mujeres. Wasn't super cheap, but it was well worth it.

We stayed at couples tower isle in Ocho Rios Jamaica for a week including airfare from the midwest for around 3300.00. They are couples only, AI and offer amazing excursions in their rate. we went snorkeling twice, on a catamaran cruise, horseback riding, and to dunns river falls for no cost

We are going to Couples San Souci www.couples.com  for a week for about $3400 including air fare (see above post about Couples Tower Isle, that resort is right next to the one we're going to!!) Airport transfers and lots of excursions are included in the price. I recommend checking out the website and the message boards, also when you think you're ready to pick an AI to go to, don't forget to check out www.tripadvisor.com always go and read the worst review and try to decide if they are just people who can't be pleased or if there really might be something to it! Good luck!

We went to the Valentin Imperial Maya near Playa del Carmen. It was a fantastic place with a gorgeous, huge, private beach. It was AI and couples only. You can get a gorgeous room there with your budget.

Riveria Maya Mexico is very inexpensive and WELL Under your budget. We have gone twice, first time was $1200pp all inclusive (with airfare, etc), second time was around $900 or less, I don't remember exactly. The only issue is with August, you are getting into hurricane season so there will more than likely be a few days that it rains. If you don't mind that, then go for it.

Otherwise, we just went to Cabo San Lucas for our honeymoon, all inclusive, in October for about $1500 pp. LOVED it there.

 We went to Puerta Vallarta this year as an engagement/birthday present to ourselves. The Dreams Puerta Vallarta was FANTASTIC. In fact I am having a hard time getting the future hubby to agree to anything other than going back there. It was a honeymoon destination with its own private beach and the food for dinner was fantastic (all inclusive) and they greet you off the taxi with champagne!!.. HIGHLY recommend. I just want to go somewhere new for the honeymoon. Somwhere equally as awesome. :-) The picture below was from one of the sunsets. We went in August and it was $1500 total for flight from Oregon to there and 5 nights. Price doubles in the winter months.
