My wedding ceremony is outside at a park. I really like the park but I cant book my May2012 wedding untill the fist monday in Nov. I already have my reception spot booked so Im kinda weary about waiting all the way till november to finalize my ceremony. Does anyone know if this could cause a problem or am I just being paranoid?

I'm assuming this means that nobody else can book until the first Monday in November too, right?  Or are there VIP (park members, country club members, etc.) that can book it earlier?

If the venue is available to you at the same time as everyone else, I wouldn't worry too much about it.  I would make sure that you find out what time of day that you can start calling to book it, and call at that time.  Have your mom do it, have your FI do it, take a half day of vacation if you need to in order to make yourself available.

Worst case scenario, and your date gets booked...  Can you transfer your deposit on your reception hall to another date?  If so, I definitely wouldn't be concerned.

ETA:  I was in your shoes at one time too.  We couldn't book the park for the ceremony until 12 months out.  We booked our reception hall at 14 months out.  We called right away at the 12 month mark and everything worked out.  Good luck to you!

I agree with PP, I had to wait until 12 months out to book my Ceremony Site as well. I called 8am on the 12 Month mark with no problem. Do you think a lot of people will be wanting to get this site? If so I would maybe look around for a backup if you are not willing to change dates like PP suggested.
