Dress length

My BM's and I have looked at a few dresses, but haven't settled on anything yet. We have only liked floor length dresses so far. Is floor length appropriate for a Summer outdoor wedding? I know it's my wedding and I can do whatever I want, but I just wanted to get opinions.....If anyone wants to share what bridesmaid dress they picked I would love to see them...Thanks!

I think that long dresses would be fine as long as they aren't too heavy for the season. You don't want them to pass out during your wedding. My BP is wearing long dresses but they are "light and airy", I believe one of them has a silk chiffon dress and the other has a polyester/spandex dress. HTH

I wore a floor length satin BM dress at a friend's wedding and I was a sweaty mess all day. It was very uncomfortable. With that in mind, my BMs and I chose a knee length dress for my wedding. PIB. The girls were comfortable all day despite it being insanely hot that day.

I am 5'5, and I was able to get the petite size and wont have to have it hemmed. (Yay for saving $150!) It is the perfect length for my beach wedding. :)Do whatever makes you feel the most beautiful. I think floor length dresses are fine. I wanted to get long ones but we found a short one that goes great with my gown!

Right now I've selected 3 different lengths that I think I'll have my BMs choose from, all in chiffon. i'm doing floor length for my beach wedding for both wedding dress and for my bridesmaids..however i chose a light fabric(chiffon) for all dresses and they are really light and comfortable..plus my wedding takes place at sunset so that helps too.

We're doing floor length dresses for my March wedding in Florida.  We're thinking it will probably be in the 70s.  Only the ceremony and pictures are outside though so they won't have to worry about it for too long if it is extra hot.
