Outdoor Weddings

Decorating for outdoor location? Ideas appreciated.

Our gazebo is different from others, it's a lot larger and more like a pavilion. Any and all ideas are appreciated.

• Here are more pictures. I wasn't sure if that was going to work. • Wow! It's beautiful! Honestly, I wouldn't decorate it at all. It's gorgeous on its own. What is your budget like? It's a large space so it could be costly, depending on what you decorate with.
• Well my uncle works in the wholesale flower industry (if you were thinking flowers), so we get all of our flowers at cost. But we have to arrange them ourselves which won't be a problem because my grandma is an award winning flower arranger. She enters flower arranging contests, sounds weird, but she does lovely arrangements.
• MissCM I love your dress ever thought about selling it? You look just about my size. ;-)
• What are your colours/theme/feel? Is your wedding during the day or in the evening? I'm not a fan of elaborate/fussy floral arrangements or tulle, so I would keep it simple. For the daytime, I would hang a few poms or some long strands with a few blooms and/or crystals. Like this: http://tinyurl.com/nno2n4 You could also place potted arrangements around the base of the gazebo. For evening, I would hang paper lanterns or glass lanterns with candles from the gazebo. Here is a link to the arch bio - there are lots of ideas in there for decorating arches and gazebos. http://community.theknot.com/cs/ks/user/default.aspx?UserName=archbio
• Thanks! I actually have not really thought about selling it yet. I probably should but I don't know if I could part with it because I love it so much! What would you pay for it? ;)
• Date: July 17, 2010Theme: Lemons and LimesColors: Yellow, Lime Green, and a fuchsia/raspberry pinkWe are doing a light hors'dourves, cake, desert, cocktail reception. Only like 2.5 to 3 hours long. With a jazz ensemble. The ceremony will start around 1 and commence around 130.  The reception will start around 2 and commence around 430/5. My email is AKParry87 at yahoo dot comIf you want to discuss selling your dress further. :)
• I agree that the gazebo is nice enough on its own but if you really wanted to decorate it, you could hang fabric with some flowers like I did for my ceremony.  There are pictures of it in my married bio under the ceremony and details sections.  It was pretty cheap (it only cost about $50 total for the fabric and hydrangeas), and my DH and groomsman were able to hang set it up themselves so it was easy.

• Watch the movie- A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff. The sceen with the gazebo is just beautiful, something along those lines would be unforgetable.
