We are looking for an outdoor wedding and reception site around Asheville NC, that has a view of the mountains, allows camping and bonfires. So far we can't find ANYTHING that fits this description. check out www.ashevillebridal.com they have a great list of outdoor venues. I'm not 100% sure that any of them allow camping/bonfires, but there are some places that seem to be able to accomodate that.hth.

If you are willing to go outside of NC, there is a venue in the north georgia mountains called Chota Falls. (www.chotafalls.net) They have cabins on site, a place for bonfire (benches/chairs all around), waterfall, golf course, horse back riding, horse and carriage, chapel, options for indoor or outdoor ceremony and  reception areas, and a GORGEOUS view of the mountains. They have packages that include 2 hour events all the way to a 3 day event. If you're willing to expand location, this is the way to go!
