Wedding Arch?

We are having only the ceremony part of the wedding outdoors in a garden.  We'll probably need some kind of wedding arch to use during our ceremony.  Are you outdoors brides using an arch?  What kind of arches are you ladies using?  Did you buy it, rent it, or make it yourself?  How are you decorating your arch?  What do you plan to do with the arch if it rains on your wedding day?

Rent one that is free standing. We are making our own. Salvaged two antique doors from an old house and are going to add cross beams to make it into an arbor. Since we are making it ourselves, we are going to make it wider than a normal archway too. We will probably decorate it with fall leaves and such since the wedding is in October. Plus, we can use it in our yard after the wedding. we're having only our ceremony outdoors too i really want to make a chuppah(sp?)...since we're on the beach a natural looking one...but like pp, i want to be able to keep it afterwards so we can keep it in our backyard....i plan on using garden poles from home depot covering them with grapevines, and a sheer white billowy kind of fabric, not organza though!! lol...

My husband is an electrician and made one out of conduit.  It worked beautifully.

junelley, I am renting a large, decorative white tent for the possibility of heat AND rain--didn't know if you wanted to consider something like that.  Putting the arch inside the tent.  I lucked out and found one with planter stands that needs a little TLC, but there are also some very thrifty ones at large craft stores and they usually have already decorated there to give you some ideas.  I'm considering ivy, lights and tulle, but still looking for ideas as well.  Good luck!
