Okay ladies just want to share our VERY cost effective decoration idea - flower gardens. We decided to go with long term decorations rather then spending tons on stuff that will only last a few days. Nothing fancy as far as flower types (that’s not me) but they are colors and styles to match the flow of our day. This weekend we did two separate gardens at our house which will be about the size we will be doing at the farm and it was only $47 for all the flowers, soil/fertilizer, and wood chip covering and we had 2 bags of chips left over!!! We plan to do a garden to enhance the ceremony backdrop, two garden areas around front of barn, and flowers along the walk way. Based on this weekends total for two spots we know it will be less then $100 to do the four areas. Plus, my parent’s will get to enjoy the flowers for several weeks rather then few days.
