Honeymoon location help

Me and my fiancee are trying our darndest to find a location where it wont cost us out the butt, it will be relaxing and romantic for the both of us where we can just relax and not have a care in the world, preferably somewhere sunny, and thats about it. We are soo stumped on where the heck to really go. We were tossing ideas at one another but can't come to a decision. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated :).

Re: Honeymoon location help

  • Mexico, Jamaica or the DR... those will probably be your least costly options.

When are planning to take your honeymoon?

  • What's your budget? Costing "out the butt" means different things to different people.

  • With 8k you could really afford to go anywhere in the world.  If you really want to relax and not worry about anything, I'd look into an AI - that way you don't have to worry about lunch/dinner arrangements.

  • I feel like a tard right now but what does AI mean?
  • FI and I are going to hawaii for our HM.  We are going through a travel agent and found the cost to be very reasonable for what you get out of the experience.... For 1800 a person we are getting 2 round trips planes tickets from Phila to Hawaii ( there is a lay over somewhere in between, not sure where) 3 Nights in Oaui, then an inter island flight to spend 3 days in Maui.  A rental car is also included, both hotels are 4-star hotels.  We went through liberty travel, if you do not have a travel agent... good luck!! I hope you find something you like!!!

Also, I have been on a few cruises that are very reasonably priced, very relaxing, food included, tons of fun!  The ship does tend to get a tad crowded in the more popular areas during the day, so if crowds are an issue for you i would take that into consideration! Happy Planning! Laughing

  • Check out the brand new Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas.  Its gorgeous and there is nothing like the water in the Bahamas.

If you want something more secluded and upscale I HIGHLY recommend Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios.  Its a gorgeous property and should be within your budget.  You also get reciprocitywith Sandals Ocho Rios (a shuttle takes u there in 2 min) so you can still go to more lively parties, bars and restaurants if you chose.

  • Palace Resorts is a good all-inclusive option. I've been visiting them for years and I'm never disappointed. They have 3 properties that are adults-only so you won't have to worry about crowds and children and noise. They also have a $1,500 resort credit that you can use for the spa, golf and excurions for SOME adventure and maybe a nice couples massage on the beach ;)
