hiding a fence

Does anyone have any cute ideas or pictures of ways to hide a chainlink fence and possibly concrete barriers?

I would just wrap it with ivy or other vines and stick some flowers in.  There's no way to completely hide a whole fence without spending a lot, but you can decorate it to make it stand out less.

I don't know if I would want to try and draw attention to it by decorating it - will it be visible during the day or is this in the evening?  If it's during the day and it's directly in the line of sight I might try to put a few large topiaries or palm like plants or other greens in front of it (in the most visible location) to try and break up the horizontal line.

If it's at night or in low lighting (sunset) I would maybe string little white lights along it or do small chinese lanterns or globe lights.  It's really hard to envision how much it is in the way or not.  Do you have a picture?

Try using Chinese paper screens or the same style screens with picture frames in them. You can put pictures of the both of you as kids, teenagers and you two together. It is an easy way to make a focal point and take away the ugly fence. Good luck! ;0)
