Wedding in the Dominican Republic

Is anyone/has anyone had a wedding in the DR?  Specifically,the Puerto Plata area?  I am considering holding a wedding at the Casa Colonial and am looking for advice.

    My sister in law was married in Peurto Plata (I was maid of honor) at the Grand Oasis Marien.  It was wonderful.  The resort was beautiful, the food was amazing and the staff was friendly.  The best part was the price....it's very affordable.
