centerpieces

I just typed a long post and it didn't work and now I have to start over!! grr! Ok, I need help with centerpieces. My dress is ruffled (http://allurebridals.com/Store_ProductDetail.aspx?pid=FG446I264857cheFe403), my cake is going to "match" by having ruffles and possibly a brooch and/or flower, which will be a peony because that is what kind of flowers I am going to have. My colors are pale pink, pale yellow, and grey. I'm wondering what kind of centerpieces would go well with the kind of "romantic rustic" theme we are having with our ceremony being held outdoors on our farm and the ceremony being indoors at the local legion hall (we live in a small town...pretty much the only option!). I don't really want to do submerged flowers or mason jars because they are overdone/don't seem to be what I am looking for. Any suggestions or pictures would be fantastic. Thanks!

Re: centerpieces

  • Oops - typo - the reception will be indoors. Ceremony outdoors.

  • My friend had her wedding at a ski lodge so it was very rustic. You could do something like this, adding your colors to the table numbers and using flowers instead of candles. You can't really see the other side, but there are flowers on the base of the tree trunk as well. Not sure if this is too rustic for you, it seems like your theme is a little girly too with the ruffles and pale colors.

  • Thanks! That is a cute idea. I have seen that before on Pinterest. I might go with something like that. I probably should try to down play the "girly" because it isn't like it's only MY day anyway, right? ;) The colors are mainly yellow and grey, but the pink will be in the flowers (peonies) and the bridesmaids will be in yellow and the guys in grey. Maybe the wood stuff would go well with it. Thank you!
