  • Hi there, this is Di from Dreamlife Wedding Photos & Video. You might want to consider having some hay stacks at your ceremony. Maybe pave the floor of your isle with hay (just the isle). I think it will look very nice to have you walk down a 'golden path'. Also if you have some left over money in your budget and if you are feeling crazy, maybe rent some animals from the local farm (horses, pigs, cows even). You want a cowboy/cowgirl style wedding, whip or pitch fork along with other farming tools might be interesting to lay along the side of the alter. That's my 2 cents. Good luck.

  • Perhaps use hay bales for people to sit on but with pillows or blankets over the sitting surface (straw tends to be pokey). I would steer clear of live animals since they may leave unsightly messes or even interrupt your wedding by making too much noise.

Horseshoes are great decorations, not only do they symbolize luck, but they look nice. Look up a local farrier or barn, to ask for used horse shoes for cheap or even free. You might have to clean them up and take the nails out yourself, but it's well worth the effort.

Burlap, raffia, logs, anything that's natural looking would go great as well. Wildflowers- these can be fragile, so plan to designate someone to pick them (or pick them up at a local farmers market) the day of- again go with that western style.

  • Also consider using canning jars to hold candles, flowers, etc. They are very easy to find, inexpensive and can be used in a lot of different ways.
  • www.pewcones.com had gorgeous satin cones...you can fill them with flwoers and tie them to chairs etc
