We're having an outdoor dessert reception. I'm trying to arrange space to promote mingling and we're only serving cookies, cakes, drinks. My question is, how many tables do I need for 120 guests? We have chairs for everyone, but I know people still need a place to set drinks and older guests may prefer to sit at a table. I was thinking 3 cocktail rounds and 5 tables that seat 8 each, my fiance says 8 tables that seat 8 each. Too much, too little? Thoughts?
