I'm planning a picnic style (think Gatsby) wedding with half tables/half blankets. My parents are pushing for all tables with plated meals, but I was originally going with the picnic basket style (sandwiches and sides).
I feel that people sitting at tables would be awkward with baskets in lieu of plated meals... any thoughts?
The date is July 29th, so I don't want anything too heavy (hence picnic style). Also, I wasn't going to do escort cards/table assignments with blankets laid out... but maybe I could?
