What can I do to replace glasses

I am having an outdoor wedding and not using glass. I like the tradition of guests being able to "clink" on their glasses to signal to the bride and groom to kiss. I may regret this latter, but does anyone have any ideas of what I can do instead. We are on a very tight budget, unfortunately but we are getting a house! Thank You Molly

  • Bells! They have little wedding bells specificly for this purpose! http://weddingshop.theknot.com/WEDDINGWAREHOUSE/SearchMain.aspx?SrVal=bells

If you must, I also second bells.  Or you can just kiss when you wish.
  • we are doing plastics, we have a couple party supply stores that have  a hudge selection of plastic wear, some of it looks like real glass. And chinet came out with some new stuff that looks really nice. and it's plastic. (mychinet.com) the bells is a cute Idea! you could do one for each table if they get to pricey to do for every guest.
  • A few of my family members have done the bells, they ended up having the DJ make an announcement part way through the reception because so many bells were being rung they hadn't been able to do anything but kiss.  I've also seen a donation jar for the honeymoon that when a donation is made the couple kissed, this one may be seen as inappropriate for some situations though.
