beach wedding and my dress

My fiance and I are getting married on a beach on Maui with just immediate family and best friends.  A month later, we are having a reception in my home town with the rest of our families, friends, etc.  Bonus, I get to wear my dress twice!  My concern though, is any damage done to my dress by the beach or getting the sand off of it.
Has anyone been in this situation before?  Can I trust a dry cleaner (maybe one recommended by the salon where I buy my dress) to clean my dress and get rid of the sand?
Any other recommendations or experience?

I'm pretty sure that your dress will get dirty, and I also think that a dry cleaner would be the best option to clean it up before your AHR.

I figured it would get dirty, but was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this issue and what the best solution is.

I would look for a vendor that preserves wedding gowns...they have to clean the gowns first so that should work.  I had a beach wedding (barefoot in the sand and my dress has some footprints on it from the reception (boys and their shoes!!!) but I haven't cleaned it yet.

I would ask the salon you bought it from they know who does the best cleaning, I am also having a wedding on the beach and they told me they would send it out to their cleaner in New York and I am going to wear it at my reception back home too!
