Luxury Port-a-Potties!?!?!

Hello Knotties,

need a bit of advice....We are two months away from our wedding. Our venur is a gorgeous Masia (huge house) in the mountains above Barcelona, Spain. It is recently undergoing renovations, however we were told today by the architects involved that the bathrooms will not be installed by the time of our wedding. Do we, rent luxury port-a-potties? Find a new venue? Invent teleportation?
I've requested price estimates for lux outdoor bathrooms, with no answers so far.
I'm concerned (to put it mildly)
Many thanks in advance for any advice!

  • The venue should provide bathrooms (luxury portapotties) if when you agreed to rent the space it included bathrooms and the renovations were not a part of the deal.

  • Ah, well two things I forgot to mention in my panic, we are usuing our friends Masia for free, so there is no contract. However the bathrooms were supposed to be done by september....
Is it bad to have luxury port-o-potties at a wedding?
  • It isn't bad, As long as they are headed/ air conditioned you'll be fine. I am doing port-o-potties with a flushing toliet and working sink at our outdoor wedding. We also rented extra sinks for people that want to wash their hands before dinner and stuff. We'll see how it goes!

  • I had a friend with something like this situation. She had portopotties and made them nice with tolietries in each one filled with antibacterial soap free sanitizer, napkins, lotions, etc in a nice basket with matching ribbon.  It worked well and no one seemed to mind.  In fact, I thought it was brilliant on how she tackled this poopy situation.  Good luck!
  • I vote for inventing teleportation :-)

That or luxury port-a-potties are totally fine. I went to an outdoor concert at a local winery that had really nice port-a-potties. They were honestly nicer than my own bathroom at home. If I remember correctly they even had granite countertops! Check out your options, as long as they are clean and they flush I think your guests will be happy.

I think the Port-a-Potties will be fine.  If you aren't recieving any response from your attempted contact I would try other sources or if you have someone over there see if they can personally look into the rental :)
  • thank you all for your responses, this makes me feel much better!
  • I know I'm kind of late to this, but how much would a luxury Port-o-potty cost? I've looked into it, but I haven't seen any prices anywhere. I have bathrooms at my venue, but it might be nice to have some extra just in case.
