Outdoor ceremony question!

Just our ceremony will be at a park..so I'm wondering when people blow bubbles/throw bird seed type deal? We are having people blow bubbles..I just love how it looks in pictures. BUT I'm not sure when the guests would do this..because in a church wedding..once the guests go through the recieving line..then line up outside..make an aisle for the bride and groom to walk through. But how does this work outdoors?

We went putt putting on the ship the day after we became engaged..so that is why there is a pink golf ball in his hand! :)

Re: Outdoor ceremony question!

  • we will do our sendoff with rose petals as we're leaving the reception and hopping into the limo :)

  • We're doing a lavender toss as we walk back down the aisle at the end of the ceremony.
  • I think we are going to do ours when we walk back up the aisle since we are having our ceremony outside of our reception venue.

  • An easy way to do it, is have some of your family stand where you want the guests to stand, also if you are having someone pass out the bubbles you can have them standing where they need to be. I think it is something you'll have to look at to see where the chair placement and the people are going to be exiting to go back to their cars.

    <div>I don't know how common it is, but if you have a website you might want to add that there will be a lavender toss so if someone has allergies, they can let you know. I know someone on this board is pretty against lavender throws for that reason. :)
    </div>
  • I would do them as you leave the church- is that possible?
  • If you want the guests to know, then you might consider placing some instructions in the program.

    Yeah - have to ditto this. I was at a wedding last weekend and a guest had to leave due to her allergies with lavender.
  • Our guests are going to start blowing bubbles as we are pronounced hubby and wife at the end of the ceremony. When our guests enter the ceremony the ushers will tell them to wait for the wedding party to start and then they can follow suit.

  • I agree with all of the others who posted in concern of lavender allergies...

    I actually get severe migraines and stomach cramps almost immediately when I smell lavender.  When I was a new patient at my doctor's office, they thought I was making it up, until they had another new patient--that same week--who expressed lavendar as an allergy.

    If you have a wedding website, please make the information available to your guests so that they can plan accordingly.
  • We will be having bubbles as well and decided to have the guests blow them when we walk back down the aisle after being pronounced man and wife. To me this seems like it makes the most sense as we will be walking past the guests anyway.
