Hi!
So we are getting married outside, we are the first in either family to never be married in a church...so begins the complaints from family members...
How does one handle people? I have received a lot of...What if it rains, what will I do (I meaning them...) Uh...not about you...but thank you for your input.
We are getting married at McGrath Mansion in Edmonton!! It's the most beautiful place and so romantic, I went for a wedding there years ago and knew I had to be married there.
There is a veranda that everyone can fit under if it rains...that did not satisfy the person until I mentioned that they are more than welcome to not come and save the space for people who were a little less self involved...
A lot of the drama is coming from people upset that we are not getting married in a church. I think church weddings are beautiful and so serene but my FI and I are not church goers...seems a little innappropriate (just my opinion not against anyone else) to go to be married in a church when I have not been to a service since I was 8.
Someone actually had the nerve to state that God will not bless our day if we didnt get married in a church...this isnt the place to post the words that I used in response but I just could not believe it...
My dearest brides...how do I keep people in check without having a melt down?
