Wedding Colors

Hi Ladies,

I am planning my wedding on the beach, however I like all colors and I dont have a favorite color.  Can you guys give me some ideas about some nice colors to use in August in Jamaica?

August is fall, so burnt orange, blue or green is pretty for fall. My 10 year wedding celebration is in Novemeber, so we are using brown and blue.

Any favorite flowers?  If you really love sunflowers (or some other flower) that may give you a starting place.  Does your FI care at all?  Are you having an indoor reception?  Does that place have decor that you want to coordinate with?

I consider August to be summer and I really love the bright colors in this season... orange/coral, raspberry, turquoise, lime green, etc.  However, I don't think the season should control your choice.  If you decide you love cranberry and silver together, go for it!

OOH!  I like the orange/coral!  You could also do an Orange/Lime Green!

I'm the same as you i couldnt really pick wedding colours at first, my bm dresses are a dark purple and everythng else is a mix of lime, yellow, fuschia, orange and aqua........its all subtle so not an overload but i figure because of the destination (outside in our garden overlooking the pool and the ocean) that it would be ok not to be matchy matchy  just some ideas

plusmy wedding is in september, but just because its fall doest mean iu should definately use fall colours i personally dont think they go to well with the whole beach, sunshine thing

How about orange wedding, as fall days, you also can adorn some yellow or purple tone :-)

Although I generally prefer bright and bold colors (my colors are red and turquoise), I like softer, more natural colors as an idea for beach weddings.  Think, soft pinks, blues, and sand-like colors.

I like using the idea of flowers to get you rolling.

You can also think about whether you want something subtle, bold, classic, modern, and etc.  That may help you.  If you get a sense of your overall style, that'll narrow down the colors.  Go here: www.stylemepretty.com and look at (or make!) inspiration boards -- that helped me a lot.
