Outdoor Lighting - how to hang?

What do you hang outdoor lighting on if there are no trees or structures nearby?  Do we rent poles or something? 

I think if I ask in Vegas, I'll get a different type of pole

I would say go to Home Depot or Lowes and get the 2x2 wood rods, they are pretty cheap, you can stand those up, and they aren't too big to get in the way, then you can string the lights just like they have done.

5 gallon bucket with some sand or some cement (if heavy) and some wodden dowels.

Cheap and easy.. that is one of my ideas we are using for our reception area
