still getting all my centerpieces together! ahhhh!
last night i made these "candleholders" which are pillar candleholders from michaels (very cheap, they look like tree stumps if you can't tell) with mismatched goodwill teacups epoxied on the top. will put tealights inside the cups. love these!
and i finished a jeweled topiary. i was inspired by those "brooch boquets" that you see sometimes, but i knew i would never have enough brooches to pull that off. so i built the topiary (my friend did the base for me, out of a dowel and a plant pot that i got at michaels for FIVE CENTS!), including gluing the moss onto the styro balls. ugh, that was a pain. then i had some vintage brooches, and i got a bunch of little jewelry making charms at michaels (should change my middle name to michael) on super clearance. hot glued straightened-out paper clips to the back of those so i could poke them into the styrofoam. this is maybe my favorite thing i've made so far! it's about 15 inches tall (you can tell the scale from the oreos next to it on the counter haha). anyhow, here it is!
