Side note/rant: I am kind of worried that this will all come down to a popularity contest, esp. with open public voting like this. This contest was open to everyone, including professionals, so if you're a blogger with 300+ followers and you have them all vote for you, then how will the rest of us stand a chance? I don't know 300 people

Nukke - I know there has been talk of 'vote for me' posts being banned or frowned upon, esp on the Budget board, but I'm not sure what the final outcome was? I only posted this here and will on the Oct 2010 board since that's where I post all the time. Let me know if that's not okay!

Your not telling everyone to vote for you Just making them aware its there. LOL SO I totally agree with you. At first I though I totally had it in the bag. The Thursday it was supposed to close there was only 6 entries. But now I have seen everyone's, I dont even care to ask family to vote. I know I wont win. There is entries from blogs as big as ruffled even bigger. How unfair. Poo

LOL but this is OUR board so they SHOULD vote for one of us!!

I emailed Ruffled yesterday because they had JUST posted my photobooth entry, which I sent in last Friday, and I also entered my coasters and save the date's. Anyways, she said they actually received over 200 entries (crazy, right?!) so they only selected 24 for the contest. 

So they chose your project out of 200 entries! That's pretty special. Don't give up

yeah ladies you both did an awesome job and even if neither of you wins it's pretty awesome to know that the two of you were on Ruffled Blog showing off your crafty skills. Good Luck to the both of you!!

I haven't kept up with whether or not the "vote for me" posts are allowed or not.  I'll figure it out eventually. 

Either way, this one--in my opinion--doesn't fall under this category.  You know how crazy everyone here is about DIY things and Ruffled Blog as well.  The point of your post was not JUST to ask us to vote for you (not to mention the fact that you told us of you and alyssa), but also you are sharing the cool contest and DIY ideas, right?

Yeah, this is cool with me.  Best of luck to both of you!
