Hey all, I lurk here once in a while, and I thought I should introduce myself, since I usually post on Military Brides/Nesties. I'm Stan, marrying a Marine in August and hoping to become one myself after that.
Our theme(ish) is WWII (I keep saying November, 1941 since no one was getting married much after that). Our bridal party is full of service members, including my MOH and her H who will both be in AF Mess Dress. FI is having his Army BIL as a groomsman if he's back from the Stan, and one of my ANG friends will be in the sword arch with a bunch of Marines as well.
I've bough a ton of red white and blue bunting for our reception hall, and am going to hit the post 7/4 sales for more. We're getting married at a museum and having the reception at a local hall (that was used for wrapping bandages in WWII so I'm told). We're not going full on, but lots of inspiration from that era.
I've gotten tons of good ideas from this board, and I'm sure I'll get more.
